TASTING NOTES \nThe Kings’ Creed Shiraz, 750ml Bottle, ABV 14.5% \nRegion \nMcLaren Vale is one of the most geologically diverse regions in the world, with over 40 geologies present throughout the region. McLaren Vale enjoys a Mediterranean climate driven by dominant winter rainfall, low humidity, warm summers, and the moderating influence of the nearby Gulf St Vincent. \nVintage \n2017 was a late and wet vintage in McLaren Vale. Following on from a wet winter, spring and summer were hot, with late budburst. The vines ripened throughout February and harvest began in March. The vines held large canopies with average yields. Above average rainfall in winter led to elegant, refined and delicate fruit. \nWine \nFermented in traditional open fermenters, and following pressing, finished their fermentation in oak; approximately 80% was French and the balance American, 35% of which was new oak. Vineyard parcels were kept separate during fermentation and maturation and were blended three months prior to bottling. Generosity only begins to describe this McLaren Vale Shiraz – rich, ripe red fruits of raspberries and cherries meld with aromas of black pepper and spices. Velvet in texture, this a wine that brings people together for any and every moment. \n \nSlipstream Hop Burst Craft Cartel Colab Strata/Citra, 375ml Can, ABV 6.2% \nThis IPA is bursting with tropical fruit aromas with citrus & resinous pine flavours on the palate. In collaboration with Craft Cartel, Slipstream paired Strata & Citra hops. \n \nOld Wives Tropical Overlord Imperial Sour, 440ml Can, ABV 8.3% \nYou know how much they love fruited sours at OWA, and were particularly excited when the Imperial Sour thing started to ramp up. Of course they wanted to do it big, so Tropical Overlord is not only packed full of REAL guava, mango and passionfruit, it’s 8.3% abv. AND our first release in 440ml cans. Be warned though, you might need a spoon. Oh and bonus points if you add icecream. \n \n
