Baltic Tripel is a Belgian Tripel beer offering intense flavours. It is brewed on the Isle of Rügen by the Germano-Belgian brewing company Brauerei Insel Rügen. Wrapped in light brown paper with pictures of storks, it forms part of the company’s Expedition ins Bierreich range, which represents an exploration of the animal kingdom.
In the glass, the beer pours a bright yellow with an attractive creamy head. It is a fruity, spicy brew with a bouquet of apple and grape notes. On the palate, Baltic Tripel is sparkling and robust, showing more apple and citrus flavours, with orange adding a gentle sweetness. The balance of sweet and tart is harmonious, leading to a long, dry finish with a light hop bitterness.
