Garage Project Out Of The Woods

Out of the Woods is inspired by — and infused with — the New Zealand forest. Ten different malts create a dark, complex malt base, infused with tōtara, rimu, and mānuka. It’s fermented with a blend of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Brettanomyces in an open-topped wooden fermenter, then barrel-aged for over two years before receiving a final infusion of kawakawa. The result is a beer that balances gentle tartness with rich malt depth, bursting with complex earthy, herbal, and woody character. An utterly unique brew, created in collaboration with Cigar City Brewing’s inimitable Wayne Wambles.
