Cape Jaffa Shiraz
TASTING NOTES \nStyle: Fruit forward easy drinking style. \n \nThe Inspiration: The variety Cape Jaffa loves the most made in a drink now style. This wine is literally jumping out of the glass with bright fruit, subtle florals and bold flavours. Simple and uncomplicated. \n \nTasting Notes: Vibrant plum and blueberry aromas. Palate is medium bodied and oak is balanced. A very drinkable style. \n \nWine making: Shiraz grapes were crushed and destemmed into closed fermenters. The ferment was carried out with inoculated yeast and pumped over 2 to 3 times a day for colour and tannin extraction. The wine is pressed at the completion of ferment and matured in a combination of old French barrels and stainless steel tanks. \n \nCellaring: This wine is made in a drink now style. It will age nicely over the next 3 -5 years but the brewers doubt you'll be able keep it in your cellar for that long.
