During the colonial era in Hobart, gins were made using malted barley spirit, but this practice was lost as more efficient distillation methods were developed. This gin harks back to this old fashioned style, made with exactly the same single malt spirit they use for their award winning whiskies, double distilled from 100% Tasmanian barley.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eDISTILLERY SNAPSHOT\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSullivans Cove Distillery was established in 1994 at its original location at the old brickworks at Sullivans Cove, making it the second oldest whisky distillery in Tasmania.
